Overrated? Eh they're the #1 defense on the #2 team so not sure how that works.

Overhyped? Maybe. They've yet to play a single offense that can threaten the field vertically. Clemson is highly talented for sure, but right now it appears all evaluations of their QB were way off as he seems to be a huge bust. It pretty much negates any value that game gives us as UGA stopping a prominent offense.

As of now, Arkansas looks to be the best offense they've faced. Unfortunately they're a run-first offense that has limited ability to stretch the field so once again, doesn't give us a great gauge of Georgia's real ability on defense. Statistically Auburn should be more capable, however it depends on which version of Bo Nix shows up.

At this point, I'm not sure there's a team on UGA's schedule that is truly formidable enough in the passing game to give a proper test. Maybe UF if Emory Jones has a game similar to he did against Bama.

I don't think we see anything until they face Bama in the SECCG personally.
