With all the A&M/Arkansas banter, I just realized Ole Miss plays Alabama this week. I’ve only seen them play Louisville and it was really impressive

I’m confident that Kiffin will have a good offensive game plan. Most Bama fans seem frustrated with their Defensive Coordinator.

Can they get a stop? Alabama looks a bit more vulnerable this season compared to past years.

Much improved from last year. Transfer LB Chance Campbell has made a world of difference. The secondary has improved and Sam Williams looks like one of the better DE’s in the SEC. With that being said, they give away too many big plays to teams nothing like Bama and I can’t see bama not scoring at least 35-40 on us. On the other hand, our offense is much better than Florida’s and we are more than capable of hanging that same number on them. Should be a hell of a game

I don’t think we’ve seen them play a team yet that’s worth judging the defense on. I do know that Kiffen was pretty outspokenly bullish on them pre-season, and they’re still working back up their talent pool and depth.

I will say though, The linebacker Chance Campbell is a stud, and having a playmaker at that spot can make a well coached but untalented defense, serviceable.

We are improved from last year. DBs make tackles and create turnovers, DL get to the quarterback and cause fumbles, LBs fill holes and make plays. Not elite by any means, but we are solid.

Your obsession with A&M is noted. But please stay on topic…

there is literally half of the front page filled with topics started by aggies about Arkansas and other teams but none about your opponent this week. Only reason I ask.

I think they're serviceable. Won't wow anyone, will give up points to good teams this year, but better than the cardboard cutouts everyone was playing against in years past.

9/11 of last years opening day starters are back and 8 of them are on the 2nd or 3rd team if that tells you anything.

We also changed schemes in the offseason. We held Tulane to 305 total yards and 40 of that came on a “rub” play where the tight end just decked out safety 8 yards downfield before the ball was thrown.

But it’s all been OOC so it’s hard to tell. Our first team shut Malik Cunningham out and he has looked pretty good in the rest of Louisville’s games.

Hope the Rebels put up 60 on Bama I hate that team with a passion. Ole Miss ran hand in hand with them last year so all we need is another good effort from the team with one extra score than last year and that should be enough to win it this year. Gators showed Bama isn't nearly the defensive team they were several years ago and is prime to be upset by those Rebels which is my 2nd favorite team. 40-38 Rebels

I thought we haven’t played a team worth judging our offense?

Is it both? We probably just suck.

It’s just precious that LSU fans are dick riding Ole Miss in the HOPES of a Bama loss. Oh how the mighty have fallen.

Think they may be better but we haven’t really played a top tier team to get a good read. The addition of Campbell, Springer and Reece has seemed add some smart talent along with depth along the DL. We will see this weekend. Need some TOs and timely defensive stops to be successful.

Bama's D will be gassed but they still will get more stops, more turnovers and more Ole Miss field goals than touchdowns.

This year's defense is ahead of last year's at this point in the season. They're still vulnerable and there are some weak spots in the middle, but not as bad as it was for last year's Ole Miss game.
