Being a Mizzou fan is just hilariously awful

I mean there’s literally nothing to be proud of with this school. The administration sucks. The education is average. The athletics department is among the worst in the country. The brand is mediocre.

Dont understand how we constantly suck at most sports when SLU is our biggest competition in state other than MOSt in baseball and they beat our arse at it.
The AD needs to get its shite together.

It's ok. The state has had pretty good success at the pro sports over the last decade and even Mizzou football almost made it to the show. But yes, nothing is overly impressive, but it is a really nice looking campus and all it takes is a good leader to wrangle it altogether.
Average isn't bad. Average means the group just needs a proper leader.

I mean, we’re average academically. I truly don’t think the AD is even close to average. I think it was “average” under Mike Alden. Now it’s just downright “bad”. I mean really, we have no bell cow sports. We’ve won a paltry amount of conference championships in the last 25 years (spare me the MAC wrestling nonsense). Obviously a national championship in anything whatsoever is out of the question.
Finishing .500 is considered a successful season at Mizzou Athletics. SAD!

Nothing to be proud of is a bit harsh, but understand the sentiment. This is why I never go full bore excitement because well, ya know our sports history.

There’s no reason on earth why both Mizzou and SLU shouldn’t be playing each other in basketball annually. They need to get rid of their egos and do what’s best for the programs and state….and don’t give me the bs that Mizzou has everything to lose and nothing to gain. Norm isn’t walking through that door and the 1980’s are long gone. SLU has been respectable since then and the former still has the stench of Kim Anderson.

I prefer not having to pick a side. It’s why being a fan of both is easy. Them playing complicates that.

frick SLU. No one gives a shite about that little community college. If Mizzou plays SLU then they should play MCC from KC. Same difference.
