How many more seasons does the SEC have left with CBS?

I was hoping that 2021 was the last season. Let’s hope that Gary then gets hired by Fox to do Little 10 games.

Unfortunately it is 2023. SEC royally screwed up here. CBS’ production is 10 times better than ESPN’s. Gary is the modern day Howard Cosell. Nobody likes him but he knows his stuff. He does not sugar coat anything. If you are good, he calls it good but if you suck, he says you suck. All the SEC teams have been on both sides of his analysis.
SEC should not have put all its eggs in one basket. CBS is still a legacy network with a National brand. They should have kept them in the loop.

Lol. Disney was offering four times as much but they should have stuck with CBS because of nostalgia?

He is not bad at breaking the game down. The X’s and O’s he does pretty good with. It’s all the other bs that he screws up that gets on peoples nerves. Stuff like constantly getting the name of players wrong. It’s that kind of stuff that drives people crazy.

Not even close.Gary spends hours in pregame preparation,film study and talking to coaches.One of the most prepared analyst in CFB or the NFL.
Howard was flat out lazy and made outrageous statements just to feed his ego.

He is as good as at gets at explaining complicated football stuff in terms that casual fans can understand.

I’ve always said that to me Gary Danielson and Bill Raftery are one in the same. When they stick to actually analyzing the game, they’re terrific. It’s when they get sidetracked with their nonsense that they become annoying and a hindrance to the broadcast.

The contract with CBS is MASSIVELY undervalued.

Yeah as far as breaking the game down he is pretty good. It’s all the other stuff that just makes me cringe every time I have to watch him do a game.
