If I was Freshwater, I'd avoid LSU.

And I don't know if Napier would want to go to LSU from ULL. He's a good coach, but seeing the hot name G5 HCs crash and burn at a big time P5 gigs makes me think his next step is to a lower tier P5 team and not a place like LSU.

If I were LSU, I would avoid Freshwater at least for a few years.

He told a lot of people when Auburn came calling that he was dead set on the Alabama job.

I know, sounds ridiculous to me too, but a lot of conservative AU sources who are usually right and not rumor mongerers said that was the word out of his camp - that his entire path is built around being competitive for it when it opens. Whether that's true and whether that envisions an interim stop (I would think so?) - unclear.
