If we are having similar problems during the Arkansas game, I will be concerned.

I agree we need M. Jones back because George will get exposed against better talent. I would love to see Chappell get a look in these early games.

J. Johnson looks less athletic than D. Moore which is disappointing because we need to upgrade there.

On the positive side, C. Lane actually generated some good separation and caught the ball well.
Haynes was throwing strikes when he made good decisions.
Our RBs are absolutely nuts.
We were disciplined in pass coverage with basically no busts.

We played really sloppy for an entire half and still covered against a solid and experienced G5 team that’s favored to win its conference. Which is probably what you should expect from a super talented and inexperienced team in a season opener.

George just isn't a good cornerback, and I agree we need to put the fish in and let them learn. He simply doesn't have the speed or instincts for the position. JJ is just terrible, and needs to be replaced before the next game

Everything else is fixable.

Don’t have much to add that hasn’t already been posted here. Despite winning by 31, didn’t seem like we dominated as we should have, although I won’t say we played poorly by any stretch. I think main thing is just get experience, start to gel better, and improve as the season goes on.

Gave up too many rushing yards and turned the ball over too many times, but both of those things are fixable in my opinion.

Remember the vandy game from last year and how bad we looked, but we obviously ended up having a great season. No reason to think the same can’t happen this year.
