Email just received from foundation….

Dear Razorback Baseball Season Ticket Holder: It is hard to believe that we will be celebrating the 100th season of Razorback Baseball when we throw out the first pitch in February of 2022. And for the past 25 years, Baum-Walker Stadium has been the centerpiece of the growth and success of our program and during this time it has undergone numerous renovations and expansions turning the Home of the Razorbacks into the best collegiate ballpark in the nation. With the opening of our newest addition, the J.B. and Johnelle Hunt Family Baseball Development Center, the first base dugout will become the new “home team” dugout. As our team transitions to its new dugout, the seating reserved for our baseball student-athlete families and coaches must also be relocated behind the first base dugout. In preparing for this transition, staff members of the Razorback Athletics Department and the Razorback Foundation have spent considerable time and care evaluating the best way to implement a new priority seating plan at Baum-Walker Stadium that is fair and equitable for all 9,000+ Razorback Foundation members and baseball season ticket holders. Throughout the fall, we will work with all Razorback Baseball season ticket holders, including our suite holders, to communicate the various seating options moving forward in Baum-Walker Stadium. Tomorrow, Friday, August 27, you will receive an e-mail with specific information related to your account and seats. The email will include an appointment date and time when you will receive a telephone call from a member of our customer service team to discuss all seating options and Razorback Foundation donation requirements. More details and next steps will be shared in tomorrow’s email, but here are some of the key elements of the Razorback Baseball Seating Plan. There is a brand-new seating map for Baum-Walker Stadium where each section is tied to Razorback Foundation donation levels. There are opportunities to purchase season tickets in multiple sections with a minimum donation requirement of only $100 (Big Red Level). Current season ticket holders will have the opportunity to retain their seats by meeting the new Annual Fund donation level requirements for each section or will have the option to select/ receive seats in another section consistent with their Razorback Foundation membership level. Season ticket prices will not increase and will be locked in for the 2022 – 2024 seasons for all tickets in the main stadium seating area. There will be a season ticket price increase for all suites for the 2022 season. There is now an enhanced Razorback Foundation Priority Points program to reward each fan’s loyalty over time. New this year, one (1) Priority Point will be rewarded for each $100 in Razorback ticket purchases, including season tickets, mini-plans, and single game tickets for both past and future purchases in all sports. There will be new season ticket purchasing caps (based on historical purchasing averages for each Razorback Foundation membership level) to provide increased opportunities for more Razorback fans to purchase tickets. There will be a Razorback Seats 3D Seat selection process this fall to allow current baseball season ticket holders and all Razorback Foundation members to have additional seating choices and options. Overall, the new Seating Plan will ensure equity and fairness in seating opportunities throughout Baum-Walker Stadium consistent with the support provided by each person, reward loyalty for purchasing Razorback tickets, and create affordable opportunities for more Razorback fans to enjoy our championship baseball program. After 25 years without significant changes to the seating requirements in Baum-Walker Stadium, we recognize that some fans will be asked to increase their support, some at significant levels to maintain their current seating locations. If that is not possible, the Seating Plan provides the opportunity for current season ticket holders to secure season tickets in other areas of the stadium. The success of Razorback Baseball has been made possible by the loyal support of our Razorback Foundation members and season ticket holders. As we continue to enhance our commitment to our student-athletes and to winning conference and national championships, we are asking you to, once again, join us in that effort. Go Hogs!

Got the same email. Another Jeff Long type fricking.
A friend has to ante up $2800 to keep her ticket in 105.

Probably going to downgrade a bit to Hog Pen chairbacks this season. But at least I’ll be able to bring in my own food and drinks.

The season ticket holder Facebook group is absolutely on fire pissed off about how expensive the upgrades will be

I guess I am in the minority here, but I do not see the issue with this change. It is basically going to be like the other two major sports on campus. Seat selection is based on donation level.
If person "X" donates 2,000 a year but person "Z" donates $150 a year and has better seats, that isnt really fair either.
This year is also just one Razorback Foundation donation. Different from years past. That covers all sports. No longer have to donate a certain amount to specific sports.

Which is horse shite, imo.
A shite ton of baseball donors could give two shits about our shitty football program.
It's wrong to punish the baseball only fans for the fricking shitty football program.

A winning national program with raises and new player facility plus Broyles Matthew's donors who wanted good baseball seats.
When told none available and the folks holding those seats were not BM donors but only season ticket holders, it's tough for the AD to explain.
If the AD prefers hard sellouts and doesn't want to expand the meaningful seating it makes it tough on those who had those seats previously.
Supply and demand = fund raising.

Probably mostly corporations. Recently had a local bank offer some of our staff club football tickets. Their only stipulation was that they went to actual Hog fans.
Unfortunately not everyone is like that though so we may see more empty seats or fans who either don’t really care or are fans of the other team that work for large companies with money.

Negative. There are over 9,000 season tickets sold right now to baseball. There is a waiting list of people wanting tickets.
There are ticket caps in place. Baum will continue to be packed and now it’s a fair game for everyone. I’m sorry that Hognoxious and his $50/year donation is going to have to move from prime, behind home dugout seats…but it’s only fair. If you want certain seats you make that donation level, just like basketball and football. Baseball is now a major sport at Arkansas. We needed 3D selection available as well.

That dude is donating way more than that and will continue to be in his usual spot regardless of any donor level changes

I don’t have season tickets but I get their gripe. A lot of these folks have supported the program long before it was the cool thing to do…and are the ones in the stands on opening day when it’s 30 degrees.
It’s definitely a good business move because the demand is there but still sucks.

If true, that’s a shame.

He is vice president at some bank and bought and retrofitted a bus to travel to road games
I'm pretty sure he can cover the cost

For some reason, they’re afraid to go vertical. That would solve some of these problems.
A lot of the fans who can’t hit the donation levels don’t want to sit in the outfield or way down on the edges.
Having an upper deck would resolve a lot of the angst here, but that’d be a pretty big renovation.
