That's not the first time I've heard that.

As good as jewdy, Mac, tuna, and Smith were, Harris may have been the actual star for the past 2 or 3 years.

He single handily kept them in the 19 game

I thought Henry had that 2000 yard season and someone like Shaun Alexander had a solid career

Seems like top rushers would have come from the 80s or 90s

In most places someone like Harris goes pro after his jr year

Harris was my favorite back at Alabama even including Henry. Najee became our all time leading rusher so that is correct. What's amazing about Najee is that he is as good a power back as he is Receiving/Scat back. He never had many 20+ yard rushes but that was due to the Safety bending and not breaking.
this picture show how good of a hurdler he is. Jumping over a nearly standing ND defender.

LSU Faulk had 4557 rushing yards and how he stayed 4 years is a mystery
Plus over 6000 total yards
He better get in hall of fame for college this year

Najee looks good. But it is preseason.

I'm guessing it is the generation/time he played in? There is some pseudoSabremetrics guy who freaks out whenever an RB is selected in the first round. the guy actually believes that an effective running game doesn't make a difference in PA plays which is just wrong. No one is going to stop for a half step when Mike Leach runs a Play action play.

I think he might’ve set the rushing TD record…but not yards…

Henry is my favorite. If I had to guess I'd say Henry could outrun Najee.

I think Henry is more talented overall, but Harris is more balanced. No one stiff arms like Henry. I just love NH's story how he wasn't sure about Alabama at first and then grew to love the place and became a leader. I was rewatching 2020 UGA-AL and every field goal or when someone else was making a play you could almost always see him run up and congratulate the guy. If you haven't seen it you should watch his road to the pros video. He was homeless a large portion of his childhood.

I was wrong about this. He got both but only by ~300 yards and 4 TDs. He also played one more season than the yards leader (Henry) and TD leader (Ingram).

Najee is a stud. He's a huge back and his route running skill and hands are elite. The back shoulder catch he made against LSU in 2019... There ain't a back in the NFL his size that could do that.

Gumps paid the big bucks for Harri$ to come back another year after the LSU loss in 2019. Money well spent if I’m being honest.

Henry definitely has the better stiff-arm

7 minutes of nothing but stiff arms. He actually threw a fricking DE like 3 yards at the 1:18 mark.
