It would not surprise me if 5yrs after joining, Texas will start bitching about revenue sharing, with the same mentality that sunk the B12, and point to smaller schools as not producing enough cash. It also wouldn't surprise me if they even float the idea of replacing these smaller schools with better revenue producing schools.

But it's still a conference with 14, and soon to be 16 members. Everybody has a vote. I'm sure alliances would be made. If Vandy is kicked out, who's next? There's also tradition and rivalries. It's much easier to leave, than it is to get kicked out.

Schools don't produce the revenue for the conferences. TV contracts and bowl contracts produce the revenue. Filling your stadium and selling beer, hot dogs etc benefit the school directly. Those revenues aren't shared.
