Basketball school

Good for him but that’s a reach.
It is a reach but in the NBA there is a lot to reasons to reach in the late lottery if you like a guy. The dynamics aren’t quite like the NFL where you have to be a methodical, consistent roster builders…NBA franchises can turn on one hit in the draft.
He’s ambidextrous as they mentioned, so he might be very good at the left or right dribble drive with more seasoning. He already had a good looking jumper. He’s on the taller side for a guard but a good handle.

We’re definitely a legitimate guard factory now. Colin Sexton a few years ago. Kira Lewis Jr last year. Josh Primo this year. Maybe JD Davison next year?

yeah not a good sign when the Alabama fans are saying we reached

Talent wise it isn't a reach. But you have to know that you might have to wait 2-3 years to unlock everything he has.

He’s 17 years old and played on a team with several veteran guards so he didn’t get a ton of starts and didn’t have the offense built around him. Quinerly and Primo were arguably our best two guards by the end of the season.

Kispert bought his jacket at K&G Men's Store

Sorry he was 17 at the start of the cbb season last year. You’re correct though. He turned 18 in December.

Yea he's 18 but he is a reclass kid like Kira was. And he was on a roster with a lot of talented wings/guards, so he played in spurts.
Bottom line is he's got all the tools to be a very good NBA starter, but he won't be that right away.

alright bet. I mean we must be rebuilding if that's the case or he was drafted for another team in some pending trade.
Spurs drafted a couple SEC guys two years back and one is a starter (Keldon Johnson), but apart from them haven't had a real SEC player since Willie Anderson out of Georgia who played in SA for 7 years.
They draft actually really well so I'm not gonna doubt this 18 yr old.
Fun fact - Bama's all time best NBA player finished his career in San Antonio.

I think Robert Horry did some things for y’all too.

Keon Johnson dropping like a rock.

Oh trust me he saved our a** in 2005. I mean actually I could be mistaken with Horry's pro career. I was basing it on AMcD being #2 overall in 1995 and a freakin beast with Denver out the gate. Built like a dam truck that guy
Spurs fans online are reactionary as any fanbase though. Don't take their shade on Primo too seriously
**edit** just looked it up - Horry retired with the Spurs as well. Forgot about that

As a Hawks fan I'm just prepared for our picks to spontaneously combust or get cancer or something horrid.

Did that dude from LSU that shot all those wild shots declare for the draft?
