Remember when we just needed to flatten the curve to keep hospitals from being over-run?

I saw where the cdc recommended masks for vaccinated folks now in public places.
Why did I get the sucker if that’s the case? Argh

Fear not, friend, Joe Biden has a plan.

The only way to get rid of it was for everyone to get the vaccine, but too much Merica in the south.

They recommend it because in RARE cases you can get the delta variant and be contagious
I don’t plan on going out of my way to wear a mask anymore.

Because no one who has gotten the vaccine has gotten sick or spread it to some one else.

You may get downvoted into oblivion, but what you say is a ridiculous possibility.
I received an email today—“based on current COVID numbers and low vaccination rates”—from the Head of my Department at the university where I work. A resolution has been drafted, responding to “a surge in the highly contagious delta variant of COVID-19.” It’s looking strongly like our singular course modality of instruction (and office hours) for the fall is going back to entirely online, “to ensure safety for students and faculty.”

I’m hoping LSU doesn’t do this for the fall, but I can see it happening.

I hope the same, Mulkey Man.

Granted the vast majority of those in the ICU or hospital currently are unvaccinated. 60% of the current patient's in our ICU are COVID with all of them being unvaccinated.

If the vaccines were so great then shouldn't that be 100% of ICU patients are unvaccinated.
I know the vaccines are only 37% effective meaning they are 3% over the supposed effective rate.
