BTW, white picket fence, south Mississippi, shade, near a live oak, if you want shrubs, you can never go wrong with Indica Azaleas. Formosa, GG Gerbing, George Tabor, Southern Charm. Depending on soil, Camellias are great too but not too close to a live oak. I like the Sasanquas like Cleopatra, Cotton Candy, Yuletide, Showa-no-saeke, Kanjiro.
