frick this guy if true.
One thing tough is why are teenage boys going to sleep at an adult’s hotel? I always found that dumbfounding in the Michael Jackson cases. What parent in his right mind thinks this is a good idea? Why are they accepting all those gifts? Not defending BM, but more people are to blame if this is proven true.

What y'all are missing is that (according to the SI story) the reported victim is a friend of a relative of Mingo who was also on the trip and the two boys were supposed to have their own room. Mingo didn't take this kid off for a planned 1 on 1 overnight in the hotel.
It's pretty easy to imagine a situation where the kid gets a call saying "My cousin the NFL player (my words, Mingo's relation wasn't revealed) is taking me to Six Flags and said you can come too. We'll have own room." Since the reported victim and Mingo's relative were friends, it's also possible if not likely that the reported victim's parents know Mingo.
Now add in that it's all guys. It's very easy to see how parents view that as a very safe trip.
