Fla lands another underrated WR 3* Chandler Smith

To go with Isiah Bond who is also really underrated. Bama has been WR U lately so if Saban pushing hard for him he's prob really good. Chandler Smith has fantastic offer list and speed at 6'3"

Mullen does not look at a recruiting rating to grade players. I always liked how well he judged talent. You add that in with the recruiting ability a place like Florida has and you guys should be set.

However UF should be recruiting much better than it has been under Mullen.

Hard to think of a position he hasn't upgraded
Defense fell off a cliff last yr but was good first 2 yrs. Idk I feel like some of our fans are really quick to say he is what he is or whatever.
6 pts away from a sec title last yr nobody else was within 15 pts of Bama all yr I believe I read somewhere. Also 35 pts unanswered and basically putting Georgia away in first half was fun
8th 6th 13th place finishes. Idk not bad to me.

Because he does stuff like holding Kyle Pitts out of games that Florida loses and knocks them out of the playoffs. Against Georgia in 2019 his QB was on the field with the wrong wrist bands with the wrong plays.
Don't get me wrong....Kirby Smart has done several head scratching things, too. But Kirby has coached 5 seasons as a head coach. Mullen has coached a lot longer. Does Mullen have his strengths? Absolutely. Does he make some basic, boneheaded decisions? Absolutely. This after 12 years of coaching as a head coach. If Kirby Smart is still making mistakes like that in year 12 I suspect Georgia fans would be calling for his head too. Florida is used to high performance levels. If he holds another star player out of a critical game again, I suspect they will come after him.

The usual expected defense of second rate players when you can’t recruit better. Maybe Florida should just recruit underrated 3 stars from now on since they seem to get you excited.

In 5 games he had pretty good stats 23 rec 360 yds 4 td before injury
