The baggage and rumors was likely the snowball rolling down the hill.
19-1 was the "frick it, not worth it" moment. And it was the whole regional. Total embarassment for a preseason #1 team.
I'm not hearing Sully mentioned for any other openings so it's not like he's a hot commodity now anyway. USA and USF did us a huge favor.

Sully was legit, the baggage was just too much to overcome and push through
I think it’s gonna be Vitello at ~$2m+
1.5 offer/raise at UT is still unsigned
Pivot to Bianco/Godwin who are ready to go if they can’t seal the deal with Vitello or if he wins the CWS making it difficult/impossible to leave
