Hard to disagree with the above.
Also - hard to disagree that in the series - ND has shown to have the possible upper hand - but as mentioned in posts above - hopefully yall can get good production out of whoever is on the bump, and bats gets hot, and do it early - get some back up from the Dudy Noble faithful as well. Sure hope MSU makes it happen - really want to see at least 3 SEC teams in the CWS.
on a diff note - how is Jake Mangum moving along at the next level?

Hadn’t kept up much but since you asked took a look and says he got bumped from the high A Brooklyn Cyclones to the Double A Binghamton Rumble Ponies in late May. Also see where Cole Gordon is listed on the Rumble Ponies’ roster.

He’s added some power to his bat and is capable of hitting a HR here and there.
Some part of me hopes that after a long MLB career, he comes back to State as a coach. He’s my favorite State player in any sport of all time.

He struggled pretty badly his rookie season (batted below .200 or low .200s, IIRC). He started this season off a little better and got called up to AA a few weeks ago. He is currently batting .250 on the season, but was at .350 just a week and a half ago.
As someone mentioned, his power numbers are up. He's hit 3 homers this season. If Jake Mangum taught me anything during his MSU career, it's that he will find a way to adapt no matter what. I think he will keep improving, slowly but surely.

Everyone saw the 4 errors and didn’t watch the damn games to see that state didn’t catch a single break. ND was hitting balls off the fricking hands and caps that were dropping for hits in those first games.
