Regardless how people feel, we can't have barriers to a championship where only a few teams can realistically achieve. If conferences won't equalize competition, then allowing more teams in the playoffs will help distribute the talent. I would do 16, but 12 will work.

I'll take the 12 for now. Anything is better than the 4. And with 12 or even 16 that's great for CFB to have a team like Coastal Carolina and others get some pub for being really good and recognized and making the playoffs.

Who knows, a team like this might win 1 game or have a really good enough team to go farther. It's great to root for an underdog in any playoff.

I read an article today that showed where even Missouri would have made the playoffs in 2010 and 2013 if we had a 12 team playoff.

And the best seniors won't be no-shows ...like with a bowl game.

No one knows what a "good" team is. In 2011, it was assumed Gumps/LSU were too talented for everyone else. Two years later it was obvious Sabans system was outdated. OSU had a real chance at beating Bama or LSU for the title in 2011. Until you actually play the games, no one knows.
