If you're framing it in terms of "teams" like this article claims to do, 2018 LSU went 10-3, won a NY6 bowl, and finished #6 in the nation with an inexperienced team.
Most of that team returned and won a title.
Most of that team left and LSU went 5-5.
None of that really fits the definition of a "one hit wonder" team.

Except the criteria they used means 2019 LSU fits it perfectly. This isn't rocket science.
