BTW, how did Saban's salary compare to the national average when he was at LSU? Hmmmmmm....?

1 dollar over the highest paid coach which was Stoops at the time IF, read taht, IF he won the NC with LSU. Compare that to Bama and you've paid him about half a million PER WIN

Nicks outrageous salary is all up front, no need to win a NC or anything like that to be the highest paid... just show up in T-town and holla process, and he's paid.

by the way, quit calling names it's getting old.

And that was made to a coach WHO DIDN'T YET HAVE A NC ON HIS RESUME. Do you see the difference between Saban's resume when Bama hired him and when LSU did? What about his level of pay at the time of both hires? See any correlation? How about the salary of Stoops when hired compared to now? Miles pre and post championship?

For that matter, look up the salary of Kirk Ferrintz.

Your salary argument is weak.....

When Nick was hired at LSU all he had proven was that he could win. He did it everywhere he went. I'm sure he took a pay cut to coach at LSU {Sarcasm}. Now, while at LSU, he resurrected a sleeping giant program. He then won an SEC title at a program that hadn't done that in a while. He then won a national title at a program that hadn't done it since the coach was born (He might have been a baby). At that point he had proven 3 times how good of a coach he was in the big time SEC. So when Bama hired him, they weren't hiring a proven winner, like LSU did. They hired a proven CHAMPIONSHIP winner. There is a little bit of a difference.
