First outright National Championship for a D1 team from Mississippi. Pretty incredible it’s taken this long. Hopefully this will open the floodgates for many more.

Hopefully! I swear I thought y'all were gonna get one before us with ND in the women's basketball title.

Incredible is that Mississippi still has segregated proms.

Schools in America’s worst state underperforming at everything is pretty much par for the course.

No shite. For State, I think after having 3 runner ups in the last 10 years, with two back to back, you can call it the dead Indian curse.

Is this really true... first for all of Mississippi?

Shocking, I think, if true.

I did grad school at a podunk school in Idaho and even they had multiple D1 titles.
