Who would be the bigger loss if they were to stay in the draft, Shackelford or Primo?

Primo has more NBA upside obviously but Shackelford is probably our most aggressive player on offense, he led the team in scoring.
Which would we miss the most next season if they were to go pro?
I really hope they both return by the way, and think they will. Primo should easily be a first rounder in the 2022 draft.

I’d say Primo and he’s also more likely to go pro, hope both come back. Sometimes the best recruiting job is keeping the players you already have on the team.

Shackelford for me. Primo is an NBA player and I don’t think Shack will ever be, but Shack does so much for us and has proved it for 2 years.

Shackelford would be the bigger loss, for all we can know right now, due to his experience as a "go-to" player for 2 full seasons now.
Without Herb and Petty, that experience will likely be a bigger deal to the team than recruiting stars or NBA potential.
I added the "for all we know now" since Primo certainly has the tools to end up being a team/league MVP. I'd just have to see more aggression translating into successful drives to the basket before predicting he will be that irreplaceable.

I'd say Shack just because we lost a lot of leadership already and I'd rather not lose even more.

I think so too. Shackelford is the more consistent player at this point, Primo obviously has the higher ceiling.
I really hope we get Primo back though, he flashed huge potential at times, in the Auburn game I think he scored like 16 of our first 20 points or something crazy like that, he was en fuego.

Agreed. Experience Shack provides will be in shorter supply than it was last year and he consistently gets his points. Experience is often a bit underrated for how often you see stats showing how most top 20 teams every year are more heavy on upperclassmen.
On the other hand, it's players with Primo's talent that can separate the good teams from potential champions in the tourney.
