This made me do a little looking. Our baseballers are currently at 12-24 (5-12 SEC). Coach has a career 44-62 in the conference.

But, happily, our softball girls are doing pretty well, thank you.

I wonder how our other sports are doing. Well, Robin's girls have fought their way to a 18-33 record the last two years.

Our soccer team (is that a sport?) is pretty much a .500 squad over the last 25 years or so. (coach just resigned with full-throated aclaim from the AD)

Well...maybe our tracksters? Recently concluded SEC championships found our men dead last (as usual). But they managed 8 team points to hold onto the last spot. The women were also remarkable in finishing last...but they did manage to get one...yes, one! team point.

But, all is not lost. In the last alumni magazine I got, it was reported that some foreign student is doing great things in the science lab, and one guy from the class of '82 just wrote a book.

With Mizzou, you have to look for greatness wherever you can.

It really is pretty remarkable how much of a non-factor we are across all sports in the SEC...

I would argue that WE are the "Vandy" of the SEC now.
