They are still grossly over ranked.

It's possible. Last year due to covid makes things harder in some cases.

Opinions. Everybody has them.

What you didn't value enough were their 3 losses.

Like their 3 point loss to number 6?

I'm simply saying they return 19 starters off a team that beat 3 top 25 teams and lost by 3 to #6 and by 6 to number #10

So about 15th.

I don't want to say it's worthless, but returning starters isn't all that in college football. I think Alabama generally ranks at the bottom and near dead last in that stat.

Which is to say, talent being drawn in to start with is a big factor. And Alabama is not unique, many other teams do it also.

Sure there are cases where a 3 star ends up in the NFL and grows out etc. But it's not going to be an entire team.

So are they likely to beat Oklahoma next year? Not really. Oklahoma recruits at a much higher level. Maybe they can beat Oklahoma, but it's not likely.

And went 3-7 and only beat shitty Vanderbilt by 7 and Tulsa by 2. And got absolutely shut down by any team that dropped 8. But yeah State is totally a top 10 team
