Unless Primo completely blindsided them about his draft intentions, they'd have just kept Wilson on board.

2nd round picks can get up to 2 years guarranteed contracts (about $800,000 minimum) or one year or some combination; can also get 2 way contracts with G league. Most 2nd round players have signed with teams with one of the above options. This is good money for someone 20-22 years old. I have no idea what Primo may do, but missing the 1st round does not leave players stranded with nothing if they get a 2nd round pick. After 2nd round, things are iffy, though many of our former players have made good livings abroad - like Dudley for 14 years in Turkey. Richard Hendrix is still playing - in Japan. Retin doing great in, I think, Italy. Saw video of Levi winning a game in New Zealand.
