OP should have said Texas will come for Oats, which they likely will. But I think Oats is too smart to fall into that trap

Smart was one of the hottest coaching candidates when he went to Texas and left for Marquette before all of his reputation got ruined. Texas is a dead end job, but a high paying one, especially now. Oats wouldn't consider it
