Wow, young man has a college career threatening injury and someone posts this.

Since you so classlessly brought it up, Tech defenders game planned to try and get Pickens removed from the game. Anyone watching replays could see the dirty shots against him. Not many, if any, players would not have retaliated. And the play that got him in trouble was one where the defender threw a shot and Pickens was defending himself. The ref, as per usual, only saw the second part.

Thanks for your concern, though.

And why would they believe they could do this? Why pick on him thinking he would throw a punch? And it worked.

So what you're saying is Pickens has trouble controlling his emotions on the field, and Tech knew that. Yes, the Tech player should have been ejected as well if he wasn't, but you're wrong when you say anyone would have retaliated like that. Most players don't just start throwing haymakers in that situation. The ones that can't control themselves get ejected like Pickens did.
