6’6 is the typical height for a small forward. And in position-less basketball it makes even less of a difference. Hardly anyone even has a true 5 anymore. I can’t remember the last time Tennessee had a guy much bigger than that at the 3 and if they did they also slid over and played the 4 half the time... ie Tyler Smith. shite he was only 6’7.

We have JJJ playing there now along with Keon Johnson and Pons. All at 6’5 and 6’6.

I dunno how many of these you guys have to read before you realize that Puppets is never going to

(a) point-blank say something is bad for Auburn

(b) point-blank say something is good for Alabama

I wouldn’t reference UT basketball if I were you, they’ll be bounced early in the tournament, no doubt.

Alabama plays 3 different guys at the #3 slot

- Primo (6-6)
- Petty (6-5)
- Ellis (6-6)

Hell, Auburn played Devan Cambridge at the 3 all year this year. He's 6-6.

Okoro played the 3 all year last year. He is also 6-6.

Doughty and Dunbar played the 3 the year before that - they are 6-4 and 6-6.

I'm pretty sure Bruce has NEVER had a SF in the regular rotation at Auburn that was taller than 6-6.

And AU suffered because of it this year. Not until Cooper was able to force switches down low when he penetrated did the AU front have any effectiveness. Bruce likes to play D and Powell is a liability on that end of the floor. Flanigan is a solid 2 and if he has any chance of playing in the NBA, it will be at that position. He is not long like some other 6-5 players in the past, so AU gives up a lot if he plays the 3.
