I know the expression is trite and overrused in sports but the question remains this March as to 'Why not Arkansas'?

Arkansas has solid guard play, ranked in the top 30 in both offensive and defensive efficency, plays with maximum effort and is extremely athletic all across the board.
Is there any reason why Arkansas can't or won't make a deep tourney run? Lord knows, this basketball prgram has been through the seven levels of Basketball hell and is due to break out. I am excited boys, March is fun again

My only worry is that we don't have that really physically imposing big guy like Dickinson or the guy at Illinois. Williams has been playing well but he's not the same type of player. I really want to see us go for someone like that.

Dickinson would be a non factor in an up and down game.

This. Tillman for Mizzou exposed us back in our first game with them. We cant stop a big physical guy underneath. Like you said the closest thing we have is Jaylin Williams and hes strong but his size isnt great (but is decent). I dont like our chances against Mizzou with Tillman back, but I think we can beat anyone else in the SEC Tourney.

I like our chances in the Big Dance as long as we stay away from a team with a big inside presence like Mizzou or Illinois. Our guards can play with anyone

Williams has taken on a much bigger role since then (outside of the covid absences). He should be a starter

Illinois and Sparty just showed how we can beat them.

We'd run Garza out of the gym too IMO.

The only teams I don't think we can match up against are Baylor, Gonzaga and probably Illinois. Even the latter we could probably hang with just fine.

Was a long, long time ago and we didn't have Smith did we?

Williams is a completely different player.

Garza is a different animal as he can step out and hit a three. But our guards would eat Iowa’s

Hope you are correct. I just see that as our biggest weakness.
