I would have thought he and Stricklin had a better relationship than what he describes.

The best way to get fired as an AD is to fire a successful football coach that you hired. Stricklin's fate at UF is tied to the success of Mullen.

If we fired Mullen before White because he said dumb shite..we will never get back to what we were under Stricklin. I'll take dumb comments and three new year six bowls over being a nice guy and constantly under achieving any day.

Gatorbait2008 catches a lot of shite for the Chip Kelly predictions but I know that Chip would have been our head coach if UCLA did not offer. It was pretty much a done deal from the Chip Kelly side.
Crazy as it sounds UCLA bailed us out.

He played us, but he signed. Unless anyone believes our President and AD went to meet him because they were bored that evening. We got lucky he fricked with us, but it does not change the fact that UF had papers ready for him that night and he used that to get UCLA to fire Mora and offer a ton to get him. We got lucky for sure.
Forever has no argument to defend White now, so he is getting lazy. It is always next year...always. At some point, we have to accept he is pretty average. He can't develop NBA talent. His teams are always inconsistent. He can not even beat FSU. Hamilton just owns him. A UF football coach losing to FSU every year would have him fired. Yet somehow in basketball it's fine despite us being the better basketball program. Not a single draft pick from White in six years. How is he so bad at developing players? It defies logic. Donovan got 19 players drafted. White? 0. How..the...frick

Stricklin aint the only important person at UF fwiw...
People forget UF is a VERY liberal university. I guarantee you Mullen's comments last year pissed off a ton of important people.

Bashing White this year seems dumb since hes played basically the whole season without his best player, and UF probably finishes top 2 this year in the SEC if Johnson plays.

I should also add Hayes is a part of the media-driven liberal agenda issue (not to turn this thread political...), but a ton of media people wanted Mullen out last year after the A&M game.

UF only cares about the opinions of people that give money to UF. Everyone else is just loud noises. Firing Mullen would lose them money. Not only the athletic dept but the colleges as well.

Mullen looked at an all time worst in three games last year: A&M, LSU and Oklahoma.
But while there were problems on the field, the shite he said off of the field was what did him in. He's going in the same direction as McElwain in that regard.

Idk, unless things have changed in 6 years since I left Gainesville, the administration is super liberal.
People don't like to hear this, but the UF administration does not prioritize the football team, like Alabama, Georgia, LSU, etc...

Name a better specimen he's had to coach up. Tebow but he was bulldozer. Idk man people talking all this after we finished 13th instead of top 8. 8th 6th 13th and we not happy smh. All on D and yea Grantham getting another year I dont love it. Still could be upgraded like u cant imagine who knows

I just think he should be able to coach the guys he recruited. Emory waited his turn. Wonder how many would in his situation. Bet he makes our opponents fanbase look dumb af.
