Granted this ranking is as of March 2017 so the numbers have obviously changed some since then but this is a good indicator of program consistency. The weekly AP basketball poll started being released in January 1949 btw.
Only the Top 100 programs overall (according to their all time ranking in the AP poll) were ranked...
1) Kentucky (1,111 points)
28) Florida (306 points)
29) Missouri (300 points)
30) Alabama (297 points)
31) Arkansas (289 points)
38) Tennessee (243 points)
46) Vanderbilt (204 points)
47) LSU (198 points)
58) Mississippi St (140 points)
62) South Carolina (135 points)
75) Texas A&M (105 points)
80) Auburn (90 points)
91) Georgia (66 points)
100) Ole Miss (49 points)
Edit: After looking at the last 3 seasons, both Tennessee and Auburn have made large jumps in this poll since it came out 4 years ago.

We're talking about consistency here, not an occasional flash in the pan.
You should start a thread called "UK, Plus a Couple Teams that Aren't Traditionally Great, but had a Couple Lucky Years".

Why though
“Ha ha sir I’ve climbed more “mountains” than you even though you’ve climbed the hardest mountain multiple times”

Nice, you moved up a little in that one.
That's still not about overall consistency though.

I didn't realize how bad Missouri had been at winning the SEC basketball conference over the last 100+ years. Really puts it into perspective.

Ummmmm...the SEC titles list was in a response to a comment. The OP is the cumulative AP ranking of all CURRENT SEC programs.

Everytime these lists are posted I’m reminded more and more of how overrated the Arkansas program is

I was told they're a basketball school? Because they had that good season the one time.

Retarded. Regualr season rankings don't mean a damn thing. It's all about the NCAA tournament.

meant to respond to the LSU poster's list.
I sort of took the point of college sports at enjoying watching the sport. Seeing games and their flow, watching individuals and teams grow. Winning is more fun, of course; especially winning the biggest games. But I wouldn't want to boil the entertainment I get from watching sports to whether or not it was entertaining because my team won.

Why? You are looking at a historical ranking that is based on a group of peoples opinion covering a certain timeframe.
Arkansas has played basketball less than 100 years and has more wins, higher win percentage, more NCAA tourney's, more final fours, and more conference championships than anyone on that list not named Kentucky.
But, you do you...
