A few days after news broke that he would no longer be joining Dave Aranda’s staff at Baylor, Ryan Pugh has released a statement, apologizing for previous actions he made in his life. Pugh put out the statement in a tweet on Friday night.

“When I was a teenager, I made a poor decision that I take full responsibility for,” Pugh wrote on Twitter. “I sincerely apologize to everyone I hurt and offended. I have grown since then, and I look forward to being a model father, husband, leader of young men and a man of faith.”

24/7

If this has already been posted, I apologize. I just thought everyone would get a kick out of this chop block king trying to apologize. He learned this shite from his dad

He ruined careers with his cheap shite

Lol. You think it was because of a chop block? Its because of him wearing black face. I don't think he meant any harm, but he should have known better. It cost him a nice 6 figure job.

Documenting your whole life and posting it on the internet is stupid and will have consequences in this new cancel culture age.

People document themselves committing crimes and make it easy for for law enforcement.

The idiots who stormed the capitol building all posted themselves committing felonies on social media.

The internet is undefeated.

It was over 10 years ago. I'm not sure if he was 20ish or a teenager. I don't agree with him losing a good job over something he did with no malice or ill-intent.

I just don't agree with people documenting their entire life on the internet. Its stupid when it can easily cost you a great job or your freedom.

We all have moments that we thought were innocent or harmless that others probably wouldn't have agreed with.

None of mine are documented on the internet with photos or videos.

I've never done social media.

Who gives a frick what dumb teenager did years ago. People are affended to damn easy. I watched white chick's and laughed my arse off. Its funny to laugh sometimes at your self. Did the wayons brothers get shamed,no they didn't. What about Eddie Murphy on snl. I painted my face green like incredible hulk when I was a kid for Halloween. I guess I'm racist against super heros. He shouldn't have to apologize. I'm sure he just was being funny not racist.

It's basically a one-way street too, so one side can use it to ruin their political enemies. Real Maoist stuff.

This country is experiencing an American Apartheid, where the entire nation is now being controlled by 13% of the population. It will slowly choke any soul that this country has ever had and result in people having to constantly apologize for the sins of our fathers. In most cases the sons of someone else’s fathers.

Sadly I know too many people that would whistle blow to a person’s place of employment over a picture from a decade ago. Snakes.

I've known since at least middle school that wasn't a proper thing to do. Maybe it's a different culture at Auburn

this was also at Auburn

Many of us had parents that explained it to us after seeing black face, and wondering what the heck it was, on old looney toons re-runs on TBS and TNT as kids

It's sad and unfortunate but in today's climate,
there is no forgiveness for any words or deeds
that may be deemed racist, no matter how long ago
it happened---and yes, it's a one-way street and
to the point where most employers will not touch someone if the indiscretion is public and
they might face backlash.
Baylor especially doesn't need any potential problems while trying to leave a major scandal behind.
