Also, fwiw, it sucked how many injuries Alabama had in 2019 and they were considerable enough to essentially end the honest attempt at the CFP by August. They were lucky the SEC was awful and got stuck with Duke in the opener after signing for a game to be named later to land the #3 FSU game in 2017. Also, landing Michigan in the Citrus Bowl was pretty clutch too...Alabama probably loses if they’d played the boatrowers from soda instead.

Ultimately, I doubt any team in Alabama’s roster talent level could handle having injuries almost tactically hitting specific position groups. No telling how bad that season would’ve been if they didn’t have 2 NFL QBs and 4 1st round NFL WRs on offense.
