Using those calculations, which four teams would be in the playoff? Thanks

Same 4. Can't remember where I saw it, I'll do a quick google search and report back.

Aggie still not good enough

That is not the final rankings.
Edit: Thanks for the updated one.

LSU would still be “Others Not Receiving Votes”

Aggies best year in a long time and they still can’t make the CFP. Sad

I edited the post with the final rankings. Got a little too trigger-happy with my initial post.

LSU makes it one time, with the “GOAT QB” and “GOAT season”, and they act like they are Bama, Clemson, Oklahoma, or Ohio State.
Sad.

Best part about the BCS was its strong strength of schedule component.
It’s possible Ohio State wouldn’t be in this year (and they shouldn’t)
It’s possible that Clemson and Bama would not have made it in with their week arse schedules and mulligans in the past.

I would love to know which years you think the BCS would have excluded Bama and Clemson

Probably thinking of 2017 for bama. No idea for Clemson.

BCS would have given the same 4 teams every single year of the playoff

You tell me.
The BCS was two teams not four.
Are you telling me bama and Clemson were #1 and #2 every year?
Ohio State and Oklahoma wouldn’t have made it either a few years.

It would have gotten the top two right with Alabama and Clemson.

Alabama would have made it in 2017 - just barely, but in.

The question is what would a playoff of 4 teams but using the BCS rankings would have looked like. The answer is that it would have always been the same 4 teams (though maybe not in the same seeding).

Yes, sorry.
I misread the OP
Not the first time! :)
I thought the BCS was fine.
I think the four team playoff is fine, except for this year.
No way Ohio State should be in.

I agree.
I guess the alternative (Texas A&M comes in at #4, both semifinal games are rematches) wasn't terribly attractive either.
But yeah, OSU shouldn't be rewarded for playing half a season.
