At this point I'd rather let Rex lead the defense rather than the stiff from Colorado. He should have been banished to Fayetteville with Odom. Walters has been dragging the team down for years. It's well past time to cut the dead weight. How many more times do we have to watch his defense get torched for 500+ yards and 45+ points?

LOL, we are number 4 in total D this year. No 3 last year. (SEC ranks)
It’s like you guys don’t watch any other football at all. The college game skews towards offense heavily. Shutdown defense is a thing of the past. Get some TOS, timely stops and be good in the RZ. About the best you can hope for

Get into the advanced stats. We have had schedule benefits among other things.
His pass defense is terrible.

Mizzou pass defense has always been bad except for maybe a couple of individual players in the last 20 years at least. When I was at Mizzou their whole secondary was either 1st or 2nd team All-B8

We’ve had no pass rushers for several years now (although Jeffcoat is starting to develop).

I would say he is worse than that based purely on his inability to stop 3rd and long passes.

Coach Kul protected the secondary by emphasizing getting to the qb. Without pressure even LSU aka DBU gets picked apart.

This isn't walters first year. He is completely responsible for his train wreck. Not sure why you think more time will change it.

Probably because it’s not a train wreck and more talent generally will improve a position group. Get some more guys that can rush the passer and watch the pass D magically improve.

And look at all the crappy offenses he has faced. Kentucky is so horrible on offense they fired Gran. South Carolina has no QB. Vanderbilt is always a disaster. And Arkansas had some inexperienced QB shred the defense for 48 points and 500 yards.

What our D did vs arky, UT, UF & Bama were absolute train wrecks. The UK defense wasn't great but it appeared so because our Offense dominated TOP in a way I have never seen before at Mizzou. USC was OK until the backup came in and even as a running QB he was throwing all over the D. Vandy was a good D performance but their team had quit so does that really count?
Until we get an above average performance against a QB with a working arm I'm completely on the train to fire Walters. Just give me one quality (not great) pass D performance against a QB with a pulse.

Team is winning during a weird pandemic season and we still got some naggy women type dudes looking and finding something to complain about. When the team is losing during a normal season I understand.
They predicted Mizzou to win 2 games this year because of the lack of talent on this team and I predicted 1 win at the most and they have already won 5.

The walters issue isn't new to this year. What about this year means it should be ignored for this year? You aren't making any sense.
And I predicted more than 4 wins so what do I win for being more knowledgeable about this team than you?
