If Clemson beats Norte Dame and it’s not a bloodbath then Notre Dame will go to the playoffs.
If ND and CU both get in, how do they get seeded?

Do you have them 2/3 and have them rematch in the semis (so they play each other in back to back games), or do you seed them 2/4 or 3/4 and have the possibility of a third game in the national title game?

as previously noted, if Clemson beats Notre Dame and Alabama beats UF, it's very likely that Clemson will be the #2 or #3 team and Notre Dame will be #4

Notre Dame will still get preference over most teams

eta that I assume Ohio State is a near lock at the other 2 or 3 team

Let’s say Bama beats Florida and Ohio state wins out

1. Bama
2. Clemson
3. Ohio State
4. Notre Dame

Depends on what happens with Bama, Florida and Ohio State.

You can make that exact same argument with Florida and Bama.

If Florida beats Bama should Bama go home and A&M play?

The job of the committee is to get the best 4 teams in a playoff not to worry about matchups
