This isn't the NFL where kickers are a dime a dozen. At some point you have to trust your players to go execute with the game on the line, and to be completely fair there was nothing wrong with the hold or kick. It just got blocked. shite happens.

But now we get these self-enlightened football gurus using results-based analysis to justify garbage takes.


My whole point is there are a million things to complain about this game before you even approach that call.

If you look at the replay of third down, I think we might have gotten lucky that they didn't call a fumble on Smith. LSU knew the swing pass was coming from a mile away and Smith had put the ball away and taken a step or two when he was blown up.
