Kirby is officially on a seat that now has an expiration date. Wouldn’t say it’s hot, yet.
I think there’s more questions than answers for the first time since we closed out the 2016 season. And I think that is a good thing. I think Kirby was hungry to prove himself in 2017 - I don’t think our lack of elite success is due to Kirby losing an edge or anything, but I do believe an edge needs to be set on Kirby. He needs to feel some pressure. It’s year 5 and he officially looks like Mark Richt after a humiliating loss to Florida. I’m hoping this is the moment that makes Kirby evolve and become a great head coach. Because he has been good but not great so far.
