We were already in the SEC in the 90s. I'm talking before then. I remember when LSU basketball went to the Final Four in the early 80s and knocked Arkansas out of the tournament one year. There was another good year in the 80s, IIRC.

In contrast, I didn't even know that LSU had ever been good in football back then. My first recollection of LSU football was when they resumed the series with A&M and I couldn't understand why ESPN was making a big deal out of it. Now I get it, because LSU had been better than I realized.

Yeah Dale Brown had I think two Final Four runs and some other success
