Yes, he is/was a pretty darn good DC, just not HC. He just caught "Lightning in a bottle" for one year. That happens on rare occasion when an exceptionally gifted QB is mixed with the right kind of players. I have to admit that was one of the most exciting teams I ever saw- it was just riveting as Cam could do no wrong.

Watching Cam was like seeing a Dad play ball in the yard with his kids. It was the definition of lightning in a bottle. There weren't any other NFL players on that offense. We had the best offensive and defensive players in college football on that squad with a bunch of other solid but not exceptional players.
