The larger issue, that likely won't end up getting addressed, is this has been a common issue with LMPD. They're a walking lawsuit on a regular basis. The city is hemorrhaging from their lawsuits. I dread what the Explorer lawsuit is going to cost us.
This is a great opportunity to have a good house cleaning and to really sit down and re-evaluate how they operate. But that won't happen because of the FOP.

The police chief is a stooge of the mayor and was not presiding as chief during t he time of the shooting.
