True, but with Robinson, thats a good 4 in rotation and honestly on passing 3rd downs, slide one of our many talented young DEs inside like we did in 2013 and 2014.

Would love to get Lonnie Phelps from Miami (OH). Yes a DE but he makes plays. Move him around and let him make plays. Maybe we can "bundle" the two together (Pace). Like on American Pickers

Not to look a gift horse...but why is Jernigan leaving Okie lite? Even played in the bowl game. Anyone hearing or reading anything? No coaching change, top 10 program, he's a very productive starter and going to a rebuilding program.

**Nevermind, found some info. His dad thinks he should play more, and may switch to DE. Guess OSU is loaded at DT.

Yeah, article said because of his smaller size that supposedly he has talked to Mizzou about switching to SDE. Who knows how true it is. I closed it out on my phone before copying the link, sorry.

He likely would get less snaps at end than DT, and lack of snaps is why he left.

I read he had massive weight loss after a Covid battle so he's a little behind the weight curve at DT. Plus only being 6ft tall. Being smaller and quicker at DT probably works better in the Big 12. Even so, he played about 25 snaps a game. Don't know how that increases in the SEC. Again, these weren't his words, just speculation by a third party. Who knows what the truth is.

Okie state has two other DT that were all splitting snaps, and in the article from Dave he mentions he wants to go somewhere he’s the main #1. That can only happen here if he’s at the tackle. The way McGuire and jeffcoat were playing I’d be shocked if he beats them out there

If he plays DE you can go ahead and erase my HR comments. That would be insane for everyone involved

About midway it mentions his dad, playing time and moving to DE.

I sure hope that’s not the plan. It doesn’t make any sense. He talked about playing the 3 tech in Matter’s article though

Also, he’s not just going to be handed PT and will be in a rotation so I’m not sure where that’s all coming from. He’s going to have to beat out Wingo

The DE talk is probably fueled by OSU folks trying to figure out why he would leave their program and head for ours. He'll be playing DT.

Why not let the HC do what he is trying to do. You and many fans do not need to know how he is going to get this to work. Maybe the offense will be a lot better in year 1 with a different quarterback? No one will know and let him try to build a football foundation at Mizzou. That is what been missing for so long! He is going to need to get the right players on the field to make a difference this year.

We need help at LB, and probably DT as well still.

We will probably add between 5-7 more players in this class.

This is my favorite transfer portal tracker, because every time a player goes in the portal he will show up in this tracker.

Mizzou isn't a top football program so it will take time. Drinkwitz might not get the ones he wants but got to try and get what ever ones that want to come to Mizzou.
