Good thing you are bad a thinking...:)

The ACC wants ND badly, they are entangled with all sports minus football.

Calling this an OOC game allows for as many ACC schools as possible to play them with the hopes that they join by default. Give them a taste of the goods so to speak.

The ACC is eyeing the 40mm from the ND network to bring into the fold.

Have you seen the ACC schedule?
I dont think you understand. Notre dame is not the out of conference opponent.

They are the 15th conference team.

Try google.

Apparently, reading comprehension is not your friend since two of us are telling you how it works for this season, but I'll try it again.

Notre Dame is not considered an OOC game for ACC teams FOR THIS SEASON ONLY. They are a conference member and are eligible to play for the ACC Championship THIS SEASON. They, like every other ACC team, will play 10 conference games +1 OOC game (Western Michigan).

What Irish Breakdown reported last week has come to fruition, and Notre Dame will play a 10-game ACC schedule for the 2020 season. The Irish will also be eligible to play in the ACC championship game.

Tech, for example, plays Notre Dame at home on 10/31. They also play UCF at home on 9/19. The ACC is only allowing one non-conference game. That would be UCF, as ND counts as a conference game.

Maybe that will help.
