That does count for something. Counts for a lot actually. I respect the history there. But times are different. A large majority dont even enlist anymore and then act like they're West Point. From the outside perspective it just looks like most of them are there to play grab arse.

Believe me--we don't just want to grab that arse...

A great example of fish camp fairy tales. Patton never said that. Of course an aggy would never lie, cheat, or steal.

Yeah, you read too much Randy Duke bullshite.

He said that a lot, about different groups, including Aggies. He usually used it as a motivator for slackers or some other point-making device. Example: While yelling at a West Point grad for some shite he fricked up, he gets a report from an Aggie officer that is good news. "Thank you, Major Assfrick. Good job. (looks at West Point Grad) Jesus. Give me an army of WP Grads, I'll win you a battle...

He could made the comment in reference to James Earl Rudder, but that is speculation.

He did the same thing to different divisions/companies etc. pitting one against the other, which makes the comment even more likely, so I don't know why you dildo-waving cocksmoking commie t-sip keep trying to debunk it. It's not like your university is competing with hires for officers slots.

Now shut the frick up and get out of here.

Unless you want Aggy to arse-frick you too. Or the flip side.

frick me in the arse.

He made the comment in a derisive manner.

In that same vein, he made the quote, "A good plan violently executed now is better than the perfect plan executed next week."

An overwhelming percentage of commissioned officers don't enlist.

About 40% of Aggie cadets commission. Another 10-15% either enlist or commission through OCS/DC after the fact.

His announcement to Bama occurred between weeks 9 and 10 of the 1957 season. He coached through the end of the season finishing 0-3 after it was known he was leaving at the end of the season.

His tenure at A&M and Gene Stallings SWC championship in 1968 were the only real highlights between the end of WWII and the mid 70s for A&M.

That period was historic South Carolina football bad. A period where A&M went 3-27-1 against Texas, and 9-21-2 against Arkansas. It wasn't much better against the other members of the SWC. Terrible times for A&M in that period. We are currently in a pretty terrible time currently with the longest drought in conference championships in our history. But todays drought is childs play when compared to the 1945-1974 era.

Not quite right. Bryant didn't announce he was taking the Alabama job until 12/2, after TAMU's losses to Rice and Texas, but there was enough smoke behind the rumor that the Houston Chronicle published an article on 11/15 - the day before the Rice game - with the headline "Bear Goes to Bama".

He still coached the last three games of the 1957 season for the Aggies including the Gator Bowl which was played after he officially announced he was leaving to go to Alabama.

It looks like the 1957 season was the last time TAMU ever had a team ranked #1, even for just a few weeks.

About 40% of the cadets go into the military, so yeah, there are a lot of Aggies in the Armed Forces. More than any other school except the academies, I believe. Correct me if I'm wrong.

A&M finished #1 in the 1939 AP Poll holding the top position in the last 4 polls.

A&M has not held the top spot in the poll since Bear's last season.

The difference between the A&M cadet Class A uniform (which you showed in that photo) and the U.S. Army Class A uniform currently being implemented with a wear date of 2028 is the color of the Soldier's shoes.

Here's a fun fact: about 1/3rd of the people in the Aggie marching band don't play their instrument. They just "mock play" and march around. That's why the Aggie band looks big but has a small sound. Like so many other things Aggie, it's a sham.

Gee you guys seem to be obsessed with fricking other men in the arse. What's up with that? Aggy tradition, or prerequisite to be aggy?
