re: Where did all the aggy go?

I think I read that A&M has won more than 8 games four times since their last conference championship ----- in 1998.
You wouldn't want to show your face if you were a fan of a team with all those resources that was consistently that bad.

I disagree. In fact, the longer he goes without having to play, the more ROI on their investment they receive.

I get the feeling LSU is imploding. The Tigers have underachieved, BK is apparently a jerk, and it's a poor school, relatively speaking.
Too bad, because my gf went to LSU and I want the Tigers to do well.

Texas has a number of impactful portal transfers this year: Makuba etc ...

I can smell Bama's slide into Nebraska-style irrelevancy.
re: And once again - the Kyle field myth is detonated.
Posted by Go Down Moses on 12/1/24 at 1:07 pm
They say that Kyle Field is very hard to win in. And yet A&M, who plays in Kyle more than anybody, has won barely 50% of their conference games in Kyle field since joining the SEC, proving the idea that it's a hard place to win in very, very wrong.

Alabama is the new LSU and LSU is the new Nebraska. Small state, relatively poor fan base.

1) Texas won its conference and its conference championship game handily. They didn't back into the playoffs.
2) Texas didn't get blown out in its bowl game. They had 500 yards of offense and were 15 yards from the winning TD when the final play of the game was an incomplete pass. They had a better season than LSU did by any measure.
3) I don't have to say the Longhorns are back and really mean it. They finished third in the final rankings. LSU lost by 14 at Alabama. Texas won by 10 at Alabama.
4) This is a Dakorian Moore thread. Whether or not LSU fans care about Arch Manning is irrelevant. Whether or not Dakorian Moore cares about Arch Manning IS relevant.

Texas is relevant RIGHT NOW. They were in the playoff this past season. They are also the #1 brand most valuable brand in college football, so I don't think you can make the case that LSU is more nationally relevant. Even though Texas has been in the national championship game twice in the last 18 years, that's not relevant because none of the coaches who were on those teams are around, just as none of the coaches who LSU had on their national championship teams are around. And if you think in that alumni being rich has nothing to do with relevance in college football, you're going to be proved wrong. NIL has changed everything.. The spending is out in the open. Longhorn players are driving Lambos, getting on the cover of EA Sports College Football etc ...
LSU better hope that Arch sucks because if he doesn't the national media coverage will be insane. Finally, in the 2 years that Kelly has been at LSU, LSU has had 12 players drafted, while Texas has had 16 players drafted. No current recruit cares about what Ed Orgeron did or what Les Miles did or what Tom Herman did or what Mack Brown did. That's ancient history to them. They want to know what the current staff ---- the one that they will play for ---- is doing.

re: When is the ncaa gonna regulate NIL

Schools like Texas, Ohio State, Oregon and even A&M (once they get their act together) will bury schools like LSU, Alabama, Auburn etc... Fortunately, as long as there's an 85-player limit on scholarships, Alabama and LSU should get some pretty good players, too. Just not all the 5-stars that they have in the past.
NIL was the best thing that could have happened to a school like Texas, which has a huge, wealthy, and passionate fan base.

you continue to fail to see that God is just and all people are sinful and guilty before Him. God has the right to do with His creation whatever
Assuming that you're right about the second part, that God has the right to do whatever he wants with his creation, what if you're wrong about the first part and God doesn't care about sin or guilt? What if God, having created the universe, simply doesn't care about earth at all, let alone one species of life on it?
I think you're awfully presumptuous, claiming to understand the mind/motivations/morality of the creator of the universe.

Presumably, you benefited from an LSU education, subsidized by the state of Louisiana. You benefit from the U.S. military, from your local police, from those who build and maintain your roads, and countless others. We all benefit, just like those citizens in those Scandinavian countries. If Trump's COVID checks kept the economy from cratering, you benefit from that.

Makes me wonder why most of the countries that are the happiest are the heavily-taxed, socialist European countries.

If I'm your son's potential next employer, I'm asking why it was a general discharge and not an honorable one.
As I said earlier, if you've got a problem following orders, the military might not be the place for you.

Having a hard time how understanding how somebody is getting a general discharge after disobeying an order. Shouldn't that be a dishonorable discharge?
If you took all the other vaccines required to be in the military, you have no grounds for not taking this one. So sit down and STFU.

Statistics show you're far more likely to die if you are unvaccinated. That's why the gap in death rates per capita between red and blue states is growing. What I don't understand is that all of the Republican politicians from Trump on down are themselves vaccinated. It seems like a poor election strategy to kill your base, but that's what Republicans seem intent on doing.

I love it. We need every possible weapon in our arsenal to beat this thing. We'll not get back to a normal functioning economy until we do.
