Ole Miss Admirals would be dope tbh. Would give the rivalry with the Commodores some juice, and would stick in the craw of Leach's Pirate caricature.

OM was a vote or two short from being located on the coast (Biloxi I thinK). I wonder if we would have had a more nautical mascot if that would have happened.
We could have been actual sharks instead of "Land Sharks".
Student newspaper at OM was actually pretty good when I was in undergrad. It was at the same time a student came up with the idea as Admiral Ackbar (Admiral of the REBEL alliance ships in Star Wars) for mascot. Everyone found it pretty hilarious. Never had an actual chance at that time. Now that we have a "land shark" (RIP Tony) anything could happen.
