This is also wrong . . . .Nebraska, Colorado, Missouri, and others were all looking for the exits well before the Lonnghorn Network was even a concept.

So what are you saying here? That actually, these three schools were the ones that “destroyed” the Big 12? Because that’s what you’re saying.

I know Missouri wanted to go Big 10 before there was even a Big 12.

Nebraska wanted to leave because they had partial qualifiers stopped and the conference headquarters was moved to Dallas? Boy, that University of Texas is very powerful to have made that happen, single-handedly. /s

Missouri is hoping to join the Southeastern Conference but would have preferred an offer from the Big Ten that never came, a university official said Wednesday.

Missouri hoped to join the Big Ten last year but the league instead chose Nebraska. The university official said the Big Ten remains Missouri’s top choice but that conference ”has no interest.”

”That’s what’s left,” the official said, referring to the SEC.

No . . .that is not what I am saying and I am pretty sure you know how it all went down. If not, this just reinforces the clueless and tone deaf nature of the Longhorn fanbase.

The Big 12 was an idiotic concept out of the gates. The Big 8 loved what they had and it immediately got disrupted by a moron, toady commisioner in Dan Beebe and the hostile revenue share discussions coming out of the southern part of the conference.

It was all too Game of Thrones and most schools realized that other conference presented better and more stable long term platforms.

A better and more informed read on how it all went down.
