When I use it I get great healthcare at the VA. I honestly am very happy with the healthcare I get there.

The issue with saying Universal Health Care is a basic right. In order to guarantee Health Care you have to have doctors and medical professionals. Currently doctors go to school for about 8 years - Post High school to earn enough of an education to perform as a doctor - Nurses 4-6 years and the govt then comes in and now says - you now work for us.

Universal Healthcare now says those doctors can no longer set their own rates based on supply/demand/technology advances. So now the govt is there to determine rates. It doesn't take a rocket scientist to see the issue with that but I digress.

Essentially Doctors - One of the more esteemed professions essentially become slaves to the state. So what will happen to the medical professionals - Some will move on, some will retire, some will stay and accept the universal across the board pay cuts and technology advances will essentially no longer be a thing because cutting edge technology requires money - money in which these practices will no longer have to try out new machines in their practices.

What you then get is - Waterdown health care, Rationing system on costly medications - It already happens in our socialist nations all around us with their glorious Universal Health Care systems. You add in govt oversite and incompetence into an already annoying doctor/patient situation that just labors things with more paperwork and then you start to look at disatrous wait times. People avoiding going to a doctor because of those times and essentially a shite system designed to fail so the govt can own a good 1/6 of the economy and no incentive to do better.

Healthcare is not a guaranteed right when you are born. You pathetic loons just happen to live in a country that is so well off because of capitalism that we do a pretty good job of guaranteeing almost all Americans can get healthcare when needed thanks to our taxpayers and good old American dollar - Specifically our children. There are a lot of countries in the world where that kind of care is a pipe dream. Consider yourself blessed you ungrateful mongoloids.
