LSU fans make my day with their bullshite about how it'd be so bad being a Mizzou fan.
But reality is, it's not bad at all. Almost all mizzou fans are here in Missouri where we bring home championships in almost every professional sport but NBA. NFL. MLB. NHL. We've been winning ships. We are a pro sport state but eventually shite will start rolling at the university.

CFB predates pro sports. It was all they had and also it was a way to "get back at the Yankees".
and STL has an NBA title.

Not in my lifetime.
But the last decade we've been able to see St Louis Cardinals bring home a ship. Kansas City Royals bring home a ship. St Louis Blues bring home a ship. Kansas City Chiefs bring home a ship.
We also get shite as Mizzou for our fans. However, every team listed in a pro sport has an incredible following(minus maybe the Royals). Cardinals, best fans in baseball. Blues, insane fanbase. Chiefs is like a college football atmosphere. Hell even sporting KC and the Battlehawks the fans in the state went insane.
The SEC is just lucky that the athletic department wasn't allowed by the University to take sports seriously for an extended period of time. Missouri is a sport state with big markets. If Mizzou is able to get the state to buy in..... watch out. Watch out big time.

Well that year pretty much was arse for Orgeron and the Rebels
However, one interesting thing I remember was a mediocre Alabama having the refs steal a victory from us at the end of the game overruling the on the field call of like a 60 yard pass.
Call is overturned and our student section (and other parts of the stadium if I’m being honest) proceeds to boo and throw the largest amount of debris onto a football field I have ever seen. Pretty sure ol’ Slive got hit, or nearly got hit, with a whiskey bottle.
There is a funny urban legend about a red lady’s high heeled shoe which was thrown and was infamous
We proceed to have TSA style security at the student section for nearly a damn decade. My freshman year was ‘09 and they finally relaxed the shite the year I left in ‘14
There will be an Alabama fan that will respond to this post and defend the overturned call, and that person is a coward that needs to fight me irl

Coach Saban’s first year at BAMA. Highs and lows that year but the light was at the end of the tunnel.
I’ll never forget talking to two LSU fans a couple months after they won the Natty. They both said, “we’re happy we won the National Championship, but I’m afraid we’re gonna be stuck with Les Miles for a long time”. How true that was
