Wasn't there a controversial replay overturn too? Bama was still very thin, feeling effects of probation and we nearly shite the bed up there with a talented, veteran team. It was obvious that series was about to turn to y'all's favor as long as we had Miles
Yea, long throw to Matt Caddell I think. Don't really remember if it mattered in the end, though. We may have eventually scored on the Arenas return?
It was a wild game.

2007 broke my heart.
Almost beat OU on the road. Looked like the better team. Coasted through the rest of our schedule. Chase Daniel was on fire and then.....
Laid a fricking egg in the Big XII Championship game. I was in high school and had a game that night. We won our game but during the game they kept announcing the score and I was freaking devastated.

That was a fun arse year

Maybe the craziest stat from that season: FIVE teams that were in the AP top-5 at some point in 2007 have never been there in any other year before or since.

I remember how surreal it was to be watching the Border War between two teams that were a combined 21-1 and the announcers talking about the winner being one game away from the national title
To this day it’s still hard to fathom how Kansas went 12-1. That’s gonna be impossible to explain to our children.

Ou did something no other team would do....
Avoid kicking it to maclin. It would piss me off so much

That season would actually make for a great 30 for 30. Everything was so bizarre

Would have beat LSU senseless that year
This hypothetical is the closest Mizzou will ever come to actually beating LSU.

Well being that Mizzou and LSU are tied 1 to 1 in wins in our two all time meetings, that's downright false.
For a team that has lost to Troy at home in recent seasons and has had abissmal offense until last year as of late, that's quite the hypothetical for you as well.

Where would UGA fans have this season as far as Richt era to present? Georgia finished #2 in one poll. The losses to South Carolina and Tennessee don’t necessarily say much as UGA was really decent that year. Better than 2002 and 2005? Better than 2017?

Maybe don't lost to Oklahoma by 3 scores and you would have gotten a chance to "beat LSU senseless"

So much cringe
42-7 last we met and you haven't won a conference title since the fricking 60s
The kids table is over there, mizzou. Tell ole miss we said hi.

That 2007 Alabama never lost a game by more than a touchdown, lost in OT against 11-2 Georgia, beat east division champs Tennessee by 24 and nearly beat LSU. They were so close and yet so far away.
You guys just lacked consistency in Saban’s first year, which is understandable in a coach’s first year. He certainly solved that issue by the next season..

I have family in Kansas, and their hearts were broken when Mizzou beat them at the end of the season. I remember telling them I knew exactly how they were feeling since we had just lost to Arky (our second triple OT loss that year). I would have laughed you out of the room had you tried to tell me we would win the NC at that point.
