The other thread got me to thinking. It wasn't exactly awful vs Florida, but he did throw that pick six in 97.I can understand losing to Wuerffel, but to Doug Johnson???? ![](https://images.tigerdroppings.com/Images/Icons/IconLOL.gif)

He was overrated! Can't deliver in big games

Because in those days UF had a decent team.

Spurrier was a better coach. Florida had more weapons. Stoops was better defensive coordinator than Chavis.
Plus, Tennessee had the yips vs Florida. Gators were so in the Vols' heads.

Between his trash talking and Florida putting up 40-50 points in conference that played almost all defense, Spurrier fricked with everyone in the SEC.

Florida's defensive lines were dominant in those games. Tennessee couldn't run the ball or pass block against them.

Why couldn’t UF beat Fromm?
